Gates of Andaron Online Game Review
Gates of Andaron is a cool and up to date fantasy online RPG game developed my Zemi, Int. then made by Gameforge. There is several neat game bullets that this game has. Though other free MMORPGs may be disappointing in certain areas – like graphics, clunky keyboard controls, and the ever monthly charges that take away from the other joys in your life.
Gates of Andaron may not have a completely unique type of characters, they do have in an elegant and yet simple and enjoyable races – like the cat like feline, human, and a race that’s a fairy. Like other games of the same genre, each type of character has their high points and their low points (of course that varies with witch ever class you choose to match with your race). The available classes are the archer, night walker, warrior, priest, evocator and the magician. These are, to the most part, recognizable fantasy type MMORPG classes – at free games com we enjoy the evocator feline combo).
As you enter the world of Gates of Andaron, after making your selection of the type of class and race you want to be, you will enter into the tutorial mode. The screen setup of the hotbars and such are the typical settings that you will see in other online game RPGs. Unfortunately not all of the boxes can be dragged and set to where you exactly want them. You will see that as playing as an evocator, the messages you receive when you attack will get in the way of of your pets hotbar. Of course it’s not the end of the world, but it sure is an annoyance.
Leveling is pretty forward and doesn’t take long during the beginning of the game, and with the items you collect and the enemies you fight, it all seems quite balanced – including the quests. You could of course just grind your way up, but there are easier ways, and definitely “funner” ways to level up playing Gates of Andaron.
Continuing this free MMORPG JOKER123 online review, let’s check out the graphics. When first playing GoA, comparisons between this and others came to mind…and if you’ve seen the images online, the first that comes to mind is most undoubtedly “WoW”. Of course this is not just my opinion, but you can read it all over the internet (pictures are worth a thousand words, but in this instance it’s just three). Any who, despite appearing to be a “look-a-like” the graphics are smooth and enjoyable to watch. The over all backgrounds – including the buildings and such – are awesome. Of course it’s not top notch when compared to other games, but hey! It is free isn’t it?
As we all know, MMORPGs were created to be played with a community of players, and Gates of Andaron is no different. This is what creates its fun factor and also is what makes leveling up easier and “funner”. The higher your level, the more likely it is that you will need teammates to help you with your quests. Some people may choose to just grind though the whole game, but free game com now would have to say that you would then be missing the whole point of the game…you really would.
Sadly, as I finalize on this game review, Gates of Andaron is missing an in game auction house. Though perhaps it is because it would be more difficult to write up on a free online game, this would be the one factor that would actually complete this game for me. Like others of its kind, GoA has an afk store system that works well enough, it’s just that you need to be in a high traffic area to sell. There is not to be seen on the PvP area, but there is dueling. Perhaps the PvP action happens in the war system that I have seen, though I have not tried it out yet. It maybe something that is compared to warhammer online. I’ll have to find out later.
